18 weeks today

A couple of updates since my last post! Jason and I got to see our little sprout at 11 weeks and he/she was very active, moving around in there! Here's the pictures:

Mommy's tummy wasn't quite showing at that time and I looked like this during the Foo Fighters concert:

Smiling and holding you close and rocking with you through the concert. We had a blast!

Now things are starting to um, sprout! Mommy's tummy at 18 weeks (7 weeks later) looks like this:

We got to hear your heartbeat two weeks ago and the doctor said it's sounding healthy and strong. You kicked the microphone and it made mommy jump! I said, what's that?? And she said it was you moving. I also got more good news! On November 30th, just after Thanksgiving, we get to find out your gender and see you again. I have missed getting to see you in there and am very excited :)

Work knows all about you now too! It has been fun connecting with other moms and sharing advice/tips! Dad and I don't quite know all the in and outs of parenting yet but are learning new things each day. Today we looked around Babies "R" Us and had a great time visualizing all the furniture, toys, etc. we can get for you! Are you our little girl or boy sprout? Only time will tell!

I am 10 weeks along today!

The image above is from babycenter.com. I can't believe it's going to be just over a week until my first doctor's appointment to see baby. I have been looking at other ultrasound pictures of babies at 10 weeks and cannot believe how much detail there is! Pregnancy can be difficult and exhausting sometimes, but I know that the greatest prize of all is waiting at the other side for me. I keep praying for a happy and healthy pregnancy and using my family and friends as supports to get me through this. Hearing the baby's heart beat is going to be the greatest treasure in all of this world.

8 weeks, 2 days pregnant

So today I'm 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I still haven't had my first doctor's appointment. However, my doctor's appointment has been scheduled for the last Wednesday of September. I'm trying to be patient but I just want time to move faster so I can make sure the baby is okay :) I still don't plan to tell work until I'm at least somewhere between 14-16 weeks. It's been tricky being a full-time mommy already. I usually do okay until around 4pm and I hit this wall and want nothing but to sleep. Unfortunately, my schedule is 8am-6:30pm! My co-worker also came in when I getting ill pretty badly so I had to tell her. I hope she can keep the secret! She was sweet and supportive and she even gave me some free maternity clothes. My pants are starting to get a bit tighter and they are much appreciated! Will let you know how the doctor's appointment goes at 11 weeks.
